THE PROBLEM
Trading education has become a commodity. Is it a good idea to spend thousands of dollars for a one week course on trading? It is nearly impossible to become successful at anything in only one week, especially trading. So then why do people charge so much for trading education?
THE FACTS
1. Did you know that most trading educators have not traded themselves. Education firms may claim to have professional traders, and they very likely do, but very rarely is their entire staff comprised of professional traders.
2. Paying thousands of dollars for a trading course will not make you a better trader. The ugly truth about learning to trade successfully is that it takes time. There is no such thing as the ultimate strategy that has a 95% success rate. Think about it, if someone is trying to sell you a course or strategy that has a 95% success rate, why would they be selling it to you? Wouldn’t they just put their own money into the strategy and let it trade?
3. Failure rate for online retail trading exceeds 90%. Before the age of electronic trading, if you wanted to be a trader, you had to trade in the Pits. The Pits allowed traders to bounce ideas off of one another and get a new perspective on market news and analysis. That’s why many traders in the 80′s and 90′s were so successful. Online electronic trading, on the other hand, has not only caused the Pits to dry up, but traders do not have the luxury of being surrounded by other traders.
4. You are being hunted. In the old days, when most trading was done in the Pits, it was called stop hunting. Today, with electronic and algorithmic trading, it’s called jump trading. Either way, professional traders know how to take advantage of you.
5. Professional traders know that on average, they will have a success rate under 50%. Believe it or not, you will have more bad trades than you will have good. How does anyone make money with trading then? The answer is risk management. Risk management is the epicenter of trading; without it, there is absolutely no way anyone can ever become successful. Professionals understand that their good trades will more than make up for any bad trade.
THE SOLUTION
Trading education should not be a commodity. Learning how to trade should not cost thousands of dollars. Finally, there is absolutely no way you will learn how to trade in just 5-10 days. It’s up to you to take control of your trading. The more time you devote to trading, the more successful you will be. Being a part of a trading community is the best way to learn how to trade, learn new strategies, and improve upon your existing knowledge with the help and support of actual traders.
We offer exactly that.
